Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware is a full-featured and well-equipped program that is geared towards keeping your computer free of viruses and spyware. ReplyDeleteNot a resource hog. Easy to use and set up for the average user instead of a "geek". The "0" false-positive rate during the PC World test should speak for itself compared to others!
ReplyDeleteI purchased the suite last year w/ a new Dell. Trend Micro Security 12 The firewall was " grayed" out, so it was unclickable. Therefore useless. No help from dell or trend micro. Just wasted $70. If you're smart, read and don't deal w/ dell or trend micro. They are both junk.
ReplyDeleteThis program seems to have sold before it was ready, got an early boost from Consumers Reports which is rarely accurate, often disastrous. As of September 2007, it did not appear to be ready for use, over 60MB of setup, sluggish to set up of run, seemed to slow the whole operating system, and was difficult to remove.

ReplyDeleteI personally like TREND MICRO as a back up plan. I use Norton but when the computer is acting weird I will go to the Trend Micro page and run the free virus scan. I hate to say this because I actually had to pay for the Norton but the Trend Micro has caught virus and spyware that Norton did not even catch.
ReplyDeleteI have been seriously contemplating getting rid of the norton and buying the Trend Micro product. The price is also better. The price is only $49.95 for one year.
If you'd likew to try it out how can you possibly go wrong trying a free version? You have nothing to lose!
