no security suite is 100%. all of them have their pro's and their con's. it is up to the individual to decide which suite they can tolerate. as far as our family goes we have opted to stay with norton. we have tried avg, zone alarm, bitdefender, eset, trend micro and kaspersky, but norton is our prefered choice. we certainly feel safe shopping online using norton.

ReplyDeleteNorton Anti Virus 2010 is the best Anti-Virus made to date! It is unbelieveable. the new look, how little resources it takes up, and most importantly, how well it works.
ReplyDeleteI just installed it yesterday and already has stopped and blocked malware from running on my PC. This is a must product for keeping you and your PC safe.
I've been using NIS for five years and have tried many alternatives during that time. I've always come back to NIS because it works consistently. While it was SLOW and clunky in the past, NIS has evolved to become a nimble and very functional security application for a moderately technical user with multiple networked pc's on my home network. It is not perfect but I've found it to be the best for my family and me. It integrates well with XP and Windows 7 Beta and at $20.00 Canadian a machine ( 60/3), the price is very reasonable.

ReplyDeleteI've used Norton IS for 5 years now, and can say that this is the best suite out of the bunch. And before people criticize without facts, check out AV-comparatives test results.

ReplyDeleteMy computer had a trial offer of Norton Antivirus.(OK). So I bought NIS'09. (Uninstall it and get the removal tool online!). Symantec support is lacking. I let them remote access my computer and they left me with no internet access to reconnect to them. I had to wipeout my machine and start over.(Unistalling my trial offer). I know folks that love Norton. Had it for years!!.... Not for me.
