ReplyDeleteI like it because it provides good protection and thorough scanning. I had a little trouble with it being oversensitive to flagging too much and requiring attention. When I found that clicking my email account button froze up my browser, I had to remove Bitdefender until I can find a way to get it work in harmony with my regular programs.

ReplyDeleteI replaced NAV 2008 and installed Bitdefender 2009. I was blown away by the system improvement. It also detected and removed 5 Trojans on my PC during the first scan. That was obviously 5 Trojans that NAV 2008 missed.

ReplyDeleteLets start with there tech support. outsourced to another country. everytime you call them they want you to send them scan logs and get back to you via email. takes days sometimes. the call center never has an answer.
ReplyDeletei have had the 2008 and 2009 version. viruses keep getting past it.
most of the time it can not take action against them either once it finally does find them.
I’m not sure about the other opinions here but BitDefender is a good program. When I first upgraded to Vista I had some issue with the previous version. However after some time especially with this version, I had no problems. In fact, BitDefender allowed it’s users of previous versions to update for free. How many companies will allow you to do that. It’s fast on my system, Dell XPS 400(which is fast within itself) updates automatically, finds the virus and automatically removes them without waiting for a response from you. VERY good program and highly recommended and the price is VERY reasonable. I hope this helps.

ReplyDeleteI love this product. I have been using BitDefender on my personal PC for 4 years now and has always kept my PC clean and away from Viruses and Spyware. Not the best for incoming mail scan for spam but other than that works just fine.
ReplyDeleteBit defender is not a very good anti virus software because I've been using it but it never gave me good virus definations to kill viruses on my system.
ReplyDeleteinterface is good but the reason we install a anti virus is not to have an application installed on system with amazing interface, but to protect our system from virus threats, but bit defender failed to setisfy me, because It was telling me that my system is protected and there are no viruses on the system, but when I installed kaspersky, it gave me notifications about a lot of viruses and worms on my system and cleaned them in no time,
may be I am wrong, but my experience with bit defender was not very good at all.
I needed basic protection for my home systems and this really works. Put it on all 3 systems and I can manage everything from my pc. Really catching so much more than Macafee and not the load of Norton.
