STOPzilla! continues to show steady improvement with each new release. While the program stands out in ease-of-use and the ability to remove browser toolbars, the overall level of protection is still somewhat lacking.
ReplyDeleteStopZilla, CounterSpy, Spyware Doctor, and SpySweeper are among the top programs in spyware and is not a rogue. It has the recommended detection rates along with ease of use and good features. I thought it was pretty good when I used it for a year, and so was CounterSpy.
ReplyDeleteIt's a big sham. Stopzilla claims to offer high quality protection. They can't protect you against crap. Use something free (and strong) like Avira, Bitdefender (Costs), or Kaspersky (Costs).

ReplyDeleteI have used this products for years and have never had any significant issues. Seems to block everything and since I have kids using this machine, I know that they are downloading "stuff".
ReplyDeleteI am in a field where I am constantly on the internet surfing, with that in mind I needed software that would protect my computer from spyware and adware. Stopzilla was the way to go, I tried it and it was awesome! It was quick to install and simple to use, I had a lot of questions intially and I called customer service and got all the answers I needed to live spyware free. This program scans, quarantines and removes all the spyware & adware and I can go about my day doing what I do online without ever having to worry about spyware. I totally recommend Stopzilla 100%!
ReplyDeleteI don't know exactly what happened here but I got XP Antivirus on my machine. Apparently it isn't really antivirus or a virus but it definitely screwed up my machine. Stopzilla techs helped me through the whole procecss of getting it off my machine .. thank you stopzilla.

Before I dumped Windows XP for Ubuntu, I was using AVG's Anti-Malware 7.5. Real time anti-virus and anti-spyware/malware/badware scanning. Good stuff! :)
ReplyDeleteI purchased StopZilla after getting a virus on my laptop. I guess it worked soo good that I couldn't even go on the internet (IE) after installing the program and running it. I know it was StopZilla because after I uninstalled it, I was able to go on the net again.
ReplyDeleteAlso, after I reinstalled stopzilla, I later received a pop-up saying that I have to enter my code, which I know I did. I entered it again and it wouldn't work. Had to contact Customer Service, they reset my code. It worked for 3 days and then the same problem again. Called them again and yeah, repeat of the same problem again.
Overall, I did not have a good experience with StopZilla.
